NIS2, or the Network and Information System Security Directive revised, broadens the scope of cybersecurity in the EU, by imposing strengthened requirements for a wide range of key sectors. It aims to improve overall resilience to cyberattacks and to increase cooperation between Member States.
This directive must be transposed into national law by the Member States before 17 October 2024, after which all relevant organizations must achieve and maintain compliance within a restricted period of time.
